Raising Yousuf and Noor: diary of a Palestinian mother
I am a Palestinian from Gaza. I am a journalist. I am a mother. I am a Muslim. This blog is about the trials of raising my children between spaces and identities; displacement and occupation; and everything that entails from potty training to border crossings. My husband is a Palestinian refugee denied his right of return to Palestine, and thus OUR right to family life. Together, we endure a lot, and the personal becomes political. This is our story.

Happy Eid al Adha
Other than eat sweets what else do you do?
Eid Mubarak ya ukhti. May your candlelight burn brightly and bring joy in these dark and troublesome times.
Happy Eid Mubarak!
:)
something about sweets that never fail to elicit a smile.
I showed my (now pretty grown up--she's 21) daughter your photos..particularly the one of stacks of candy--she was greedily fascinated.
I love the earlier photo of your son and the hawk, both looking wary.
May all go well with you and your dear family.
I have just found your blog.
It is fascinating reading, and Yousef is absolutely adorable.
I trust you are still at liberty.
We havent seen anything from you or Heba for two weeks.
