Humor under siege

Yesterday, I wondered had happened to my father's newly acquired bird- the one he purchased from the farmer that tends to my mother's land in southern Gaza.

I feared the poor creature died of a heart attack. My father assured me was doing just fine- but that instead of chirping his usual tunes that hasaseen are famous for singing, he now utters nothing but "boom boom".

I am sooo sorry. I am a 16 year old palestinian girl. I live in America. There are protests happening all over the world. We are trying to let our voices be heard. The media does not seem to want to cover most things. They are making the arabs look like the bad guys and the yahoud look like the good. It is very hard. The yahoud run our government at the moment. U.S.A and Israel are best friends. Inshallah a miracle will happen but until then continue your prayers and please do not lose faith in Allah. You and Your family are in my prayers. So far I have attented 2 protests. Inshallah someone of high power will hear our voices and help us.

Israeli bombing/incursion would have been avoided if only Gazans hadn't fired their rockets. Therefore Hamas/Gazans are fully liable for loss of life.

Laila, as a peacfull Jew in Brooklyn NY. Iv'e been listening to you on CNN. My question to you is what would you do in the place of Israel? Can you claim that the jews are a people that like only killing? No! They have had plenty more achievments in their state, in health ,science, technology, and any other field? What do the Paletinians have to prove? Can they realy use the excuse that they were occupied forever? Much of my fathers and mothers family ehere extinguished in Auschwitz. What did they do after that? Picked themselves up in silence and rnewed life. Please, spend your time telling the palestinian people to start a new destiny and not support Chamass.
