I am a Palestinian from Gaza. I am a journalist. I am a mother. I am a Muslim. This blog is about the trials of raising my children between spaces and identities; displacement and occupation; and everything that entails from potty training to border crossings.
My husband is a Palestinian refugee denied his right of return to Palestine, and thus OUR right to family life.
Together, we endure a lot, and the personal becomes political. This is our story.
Excellent video with a clear, rational explanation of why Israel's claims of not harming non-combatants is oh so bogus. I know there is almost no chance that Israel would ever be charged with war crimes (as one pundit said on AJ English - the stronger power never gets prosecuted) - but perhaps some European countries with universal jurisdiction laws can be the place where people file charges against high ranking Israeli politicians and military officers. And these can be arrested if they travel to these European countries.
Believe me, I make these suggestions with such pain and sorrow in my heart - that the Palestinians have had to once again endure such suffering and indignation at the hands of the country that I once loved so dearly, once called home, and once fought for. Israel has betrayed her hope, her values and her promise in a terrible way. There is for years now no room left for giving Israel "the benefit of the doubt." I am sorry. I am sad. I am sickened. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family and all who are dear to you.
I remember when Israel carried out a military operation like this in the city of Jenin (Palestine), they did not allow journalists to know what they're doing either. Forget journalists, Israel didn't even allow United Nations to enter Palestine. When someone hides something like this it's because they know what they're doing will be unacceptable to the world, and they don't want to be held accountable.

Thank you for this video, I had not seen it and it can't be disputed by people saying that this person is against Israel.
He is just stating the facts. And the facts are that Israel is guilty of a massacre.
Peace
