Aerial seige continues

The aerial seige of "liberated" Gaza continues, as Israeli forces pound the Shija3iya neighbourhood east of Gaza City as I write this. The shells, more than 25 by now, are being fired about every 5 minutes, resulting in thunderous explosions heard througout the city. F-16s are also looming overhead, and broke the sound barrier twice last night over Gaza.

Any notion as to why all the activity?

It's not all F16s. There will be F15s joining in as well although I can appreciate that the difference is so small as to close to zero.

Mr. Preston Bannister, may I suggest you read some books on Middle Eastern history; perhaps you can even take some classes at a local university.

Yes, its disgusting that they can invade and oppress people in this way.

Elizabeth, oddly enough I am not looking for a complete history of the Middle East. Rather what I am looking for is simply a point of view - much the same reason I'm listening to Laila's words in the first place :).

"Bombs are falling on Jewish families as well."

Really? When, exactly? Maybe you could remind us of the last time this happened and how it justifies anything?
